Open Space Management

The Town of Hillsborough is conducting a fire hazard and fuel reduction project in its town-owned open space areas to reduce the risk of wildfire. The Town will mow ground cover, thin shrubs, and limb-up trees to 10 feet in certain areas within Town-owned open spaces. Saplings (4 inches in diameter or smaller) may be removed as needed to reduce fire risk. There will not be removal of large, live trees.
