7th Annual Hillsborough Memorial Day Parade Carnival & Music Festival
BIG NEWS… a CHP helicopter will be landing on the Crocker field on Monday afternoon to be part of our celebration of Memorial Day! It is a Eurocopter of America, 350B3, 3 blade and weighs 4500 pounds. Don’t want to miss this!!
Our community will kick off the celebration Monday, May 30, 2016, starting with the PARADE! We have floats walking and riding through town in honor of this patriotic holiday, celebrating our community and our country.
The PARADE starts at 10:30am at Town Hall, line up beginning at 9:30am. The route goes straight up Floribunda, left on Eucalyptus, finishing at North Hillsborough Elementary School. Anthony Ranii, for his second year, will be the parade announcer at the Floribunda circle and Larry Raffo is our announcer at North School, for his 7th year in a row!
At North School the CARNIVAL has an early start at 10am. The Observance Ceremony will be right after the end of the parade, at approximately 11:45am. The MUSIC FESTIVAL will begin immediately after that, at 12:00ish.
Line up is at Town Hall at 930am. All float participants will be receiving line up information the week before the parade. To view the parade map click here.
Games, crafts, petting zoo, and dunk tank are all part of the fun again this year! The Petting Zoo is enhanced this year, adding miniature animals, and other treats.
Our pricing structure is new, there are hand stamps instead of tickets:

Adopt-A-Unit Donation Suggested Items
The town continues to collect items for our adopted military troop that is currently deployed in Iraq.
This year West School has organized a Treats for Troops drive. Under the leadership of 3rd grader Rohan Dalal, items for the troops are being requested to be dropped off at North School after the parade. Here is the desired list of treats:Click here for suggested items
In addition at Town Hall, donations will be accepted for donuts, bagels and coffee that will be available during Parade line up time. All money collected goes to cover shipping. Come by the table, enjoy a coffee and a donut and sign the banner with some good wishes for our troops!
Plan to park at the Crocker black top and take the (free) Cable Car Shuttle to Town Hall. The shuttle will run from 9:00am to 10:00 am with pick up at the Crocker School and North School entrances. Drop off at Town Hall. The shuttle will start up again after the parade, picking up at North and Crocker entrances and dropping off again at Town Hall. The shuttle will end at 1:00pm.
