Tuesday, January 26, 2016 - Storm Preparedness and Resident Alert Notification
Hillsborough Town Hall
6:00pm - 7:30pm
Rainstorms are expected to intensify over the next few months. In Hillsborough, impacts can include property and road flooding, downed trees and power lines, sewer overflows, personal injury, and power outages.
The Public Works Department (PWD) and Central County Fire Department (CCFD) are teaming up to provide important information on:
how to prepare your property
what to look for in the community
how the Town responds to emergencies
Additionally, the Police Department (HPD) will provide more information about the San Mateo County Alert (SMC Alert) System, its importance during an emergency and the system's new features. Bring your tablets and mobile devices for a hands-on demonstration of the SMC Alert System. SMC Alert is the Town's primary notification method in the event of an emergency. Staff will be on hand to assist you in signing up for an account as well ensuring those who already have an account are taking advantage of the new options.
