Our Community Celebrates Memorial Day in Hillsborough on Monday, May 30! This now annual event will feature groups or "floats," marching through town in celebration of this wonderful holiday, and this year we will show our support for our nation's Veterans. The start time will be 10:30am at Town Hall, and the parade will finish at the field at North School, where there will be food available and entertainment for the whole family.
How to Register
In order to be a participating "float" (or group) in the parade, your organization will need: a minimum of six people, a banner to identify your group, and complete and submit a Parade Registration Form or online form. All groups are encouraged to contribute to Adopt a Unit. Deadline for submitting registration forms is May 1st.

Calling All Trikes and Small Bikes!
To prepare for the parade, the Hillsborough Police Department on Floribunda will be hosting a bike and trike safety check on Thursday, May 26th, 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Once your trike has been inspected, each child can decorate their three or five wheeled cycle in preparation for our big Parade day! Be advised, large bicycles are not recommended in the parade; the pace is very slow making pedaling very difficult.
Adopt a Unit
The Town of Hillsborough along with the Police Department collects much needed items for our assigned troops in Afghanistan. A desired list has been prepared for this worthy cause. Please bring an item or donation on Parade Day and you will receive a small gift as a token of appreciation.
