Hillsborough's Memorial Day Parade 2012

 
Our Community Celebrates Memorial Day in Hillsborough on Monday, May 28, 2012! This now annual event will feature groups or "floats," marching and riding through town in honor of this patriotic holiday, Celebrating our Community and our Country.

The start time will be 10:30am at Town Hall, and the parade will finish at the North School field.  Food trucks including Sam's Chowder House, Speedy Panini, The Taco Truck and Ice Cream will be available.  Entertaiment includes a Hometown Carnival and a Community Musical Showcase of performances. 

How to Register
In order to participate in the parade, your organization will need: a minimum of six people, a banner to identify your group, and complete and submit a Parade Application Form or Online form. All groups are encouraged to contribute to the Town's  Adopt a Unit program. Deadline for submitting registration forms has been extended! Please see our new Hillsborough Memorial Day Parade Website and Facebook page!

Adopt a Unit
The Town of Hillsborough along with the Police Department collects much needed items for our assigned troops in Afghanistan. A desired list has been prepared for this worthy cause. Please bring an item or donation on Parade Day and you will receive a small gift as a token of appreciation.

Volunteer Opportunities
If you would like to participate in this community event, please email parade@hillsborough.net. We are looking for street corner ambassadors and helping hands at the start and end of the parade.
