The Town contracts with CSG Engineering for City Engineering services. CSG provides consultants who assist residents and contractors with processing subdivision and parcel maps, and encroachment and grading permits. CSG also conducts traffic studies and inspects for compliance with National Storm Drain Pollution Emission requirements. CSG's website can be found at www.csgengr.com
A grading permit is required for grading on a lot having a slope greater than 15% or if material is imported or removed from the property. Applications for grading permits should be accompanied by three (3) sets of plans prepared by a registered civil engineer. Grading permit applications should be submitted to, and are issued by, the Building Department, 1600 Floribunda Ave, Hillsborough, CA 94010. Permits are issued between 8:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
