9th Annual Hillsborough Memorial Day Parade Carnival & Music Festival
Parade Day is here! Our community will kick off the celebration this Monday, May 28, 2018, starting with the PARADE! We have floats walking and riding through town in honor of this patriotic holiday, celebrating our community and our country.
Returning this year are the Wells Fargo Stagecoach, the San Mateo Marching Band, the Burlingame High School Band, the Los Trancos Marching Band, our schools, our dignitaries, community services organizations and so much more. See below for larger list.
The PARADE starts at 10:30am at Town Hall, line up beginning at 9:30am. The route goes straight up Floribunda, left on Eucalyptus, finishing at North Hillsborough Elementary School. Larry Raffo is our announcer at North School for his 9th year in a row and for her first year, we welcome HCSD Superintendent Louann Carlomagno to the Floribunda circle as our parade announcer.
At Crocker School, the CARNIVAL has an early start at 10am. The Observance Ceremony will be right after the end of the parade, at approximately 11:45am. The MUSIC FESTIVAL will begin immediately after that, at 12:00ish.
As we line up and prepare for the Parade launch, there will be music and entertainment. This year, we welcome James Chan. Check out his website.

Adopt A Unit Donation Suggested Items
The town continues to collect items for our adopted military troop that is currently deployed to Afghanistan. West School has organized another Treats for Troops drive! Under the leadership of 5th grader Rohan Dalal, items for the troops are being requested to be dropped off at Crocker Field at the table in the center of the field after the parade. Here is the desired list of suggested items (PDF).
In addition at Town Hall, donations will be accepted for donuts, bagels and coffee that will be available during Parade line up time. All money collected goes to cover shipping. Come by the table, enjoy a coffee and a donut and sign the banner with some good wishes for our troops!
Plan to park at the Crocker black top and take the (free) Cable Car Shuttle to Town Hall. The shuttle will run from 9:00am to 10:00 am with pick up at Crocker School and North School entrances. Drop off is at Town Hall. The shuttle will start up again after the parade, picking up at North and Crocker entrances and dropping off again at Town Hall. The shuttle will end at 1:00pm.
